Seoul Korea Dental Clinic
Integrated Dental Care
When several treatments are needed,
we sort out the order together first.
A single patient may have cavities, gum disease, and extraction, prosthetic, implant, and orthodontic needs all at once.
Seoul Korea Dental Clinic reviews the treatment areas needed comprehensively and continues treatment within one plan.
Setting the treatment order
We start with urgent treatment and go step by step.
Based on examination results and your health, we explain which treatment areas are needed and in what order.
From pain and inflammation control to prosthetics and maintenance
The wider the scope of treatment, the more important it is to set priorities. The usual order is as follows, and it may vary depending on your oral condition.
Pain & inflammation control
Teeth with pain or inflammation are treated first.
Treating natural teeth
Teeth that can be saved are treated with cavity treatment, root canal treatment, and gum treatment.
Prosthetics · implants · orthodontics
Prosthetics, implants, and orthodontics are planned according to the remaining teeth and gum condition.
Cavity & root canal treatment
We first consider whether natural teeth can be saved.
We check how deep the cavity is and how much the nerve is damaged, then plan cavity treatment, root canal treatment, or root canal retreatment.
If root canal treatment is difficult, we consider an apicoectomy, and after root canal treatment a prosthesis may be needed to protect the tooth.
Prosthetic treatment: we check the remaining teeth and gums together
Crowns
Cover and protect teeth weakened by cavities or root canal treatment.
Bridges
Connect the teeth on either side of a missing tooth to fill the gap.
Wisdom tooth extraction: we first check the position and relation to nerves
After checking on X-ray and CT images how deeply the tooth is impacted and its distance to the nerve canal and maxillary sinus, we decide the extraction method and timing.
If several wisdom teeth are being extracted or you feel strong anxiety about dental treatment, you can also consult us about approaches such as conscious sedation.
Checking the position with CT
Impacted wisdom teeth can be close to nerves, so we check their position on CT images.
Sedation consultation
Conscious sedation may be considered if anxiety is strong or several teeth are being extracted.
About conscious sedationGum treatment
The treatment for gum inflammation depends on how far it has progressed.
Early gum disease can be managed with scaling and similar care,
but as it progresses, it can affect the jawbone that supports the teeth.
If your gums bleed or swell, or your teeth feel loose, consider a gum examination.
When there is gum disease, gum treatment is often carried out first, before implants, prosthetics, or orthodontics.
Scaling
Removes tartar and plaque from the tooth surface and along the gumline.
Root planing
Removes tartar from root surfaces below the gums
and smooths the surface.
Periodontal curettage

Removes inflamed tissue inside the gums under anesthesia.
Gum surgery

In advanced cases, the gums are opened to directly remove inflammation around the roots
and jawbone.
Aftercare is explained

FAQ
Integrated Dental Care FAQ
Can I receive cavity treatment, gum treatment, orthodontics, and implants at one clinic?
At Seoul Korea Dental Clinic, depending on the patient's oral condition, we can plan cavity and root canal treatment, gum treatment, orthodontics, wisdom tooth extraction, and implants and prosthetics in coordination. When several problems are found together, it is important to set treatment priorities. Based on examination results and the patient's health, we explain which treatment areas are needed and in what order.
Does a tooth always need a crown after root canal treatment?
Teeth that have had root canal treatment can become weaker, so they are often protected with a prosthesis such as a crown. We check the amount of remaining tooth, its position, and chewing forces, and explain the treatment needed.
Do wisdom teeth always need to be removed?
Wisdom teeth that have come in straight and are well cared for can be kept. If inflammation keeps recurring or the wisdom tooth causes cavities or gum problems in the neighboring tooth, extraction is considered, and the decision is made after checking its position and relation to nerves.
Can I receive dental treatment on Sundays or public holidays?
Seoul Korea Dental Clinic is open 365 days a year, including weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays. Available treatments and doctors' schedules may vary by date and time, so please call before your visit to confirm same-day hours and appointment availability.
